Executive Director
George Miller
Management professional with over 15 years of experience. George holds a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Hampton University. He has expertise in organizational development, talent acquisition, employee relations, and customer service. George has first-hand knowledge of the experiences of those who are justice-involved. As a result, he recognized the gaps in the criminal justice system and has dedicated himself to providing a lifeline for juvenile and nonviolent offenders.

Dorothy Philips
My name is Dorothy Phillips. I am your next highly passionate life coach. I am the owner of Rosebud Coaching. Rosebud is your family relationship-certified life coach ministry. I am a graduate of Regent University with a Master’s in Human Service Counseling; Hampton University with a Master’s in Business Administration; Saint Leo College with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting Concentration; Thomas Nelson Community College with an Associate in Business Administration and a certified professional life coach from I-Grow Academy.
As a relationship coach, I deal with personal development and any relationship concern in a family environment. I believe in God as my Savior and instill this in all my meetings. I am originally from North Carolina but have lived most of my adult life in Virginia and therefore southern hospitality and respect are in my bones.

Howard Philips
Howard Phillips is a highly motivated and engaging individual. He is the owner of A & H Computer Consultant Company, a past Marketing Director for Novus Glass Company, and a certified auto mechanic. He helps individuals, communities, churches, and organizations maximize their full potential by overcoming challenges.
Howard is a retired Air Force officer with more than 24 years of military service. Howard is also a retired Assistant Program Manager and a Program Training Analyst from the Air Force. Howard is the Chairman of Trustees at his church and constantly gives youth career and financial advice. He is a graduate of Kansas Newman University with a degree in Sociology and Psychology.
Howard believes learning is key to breaking barriers, overcoming challenges in reaching their goals. Modeling a servant’s heart, he knows how to inspire new ideas, drive innovation, and find success through positive communications. Originally from Center Cross, VA, he now lives in Suffolk, VA, and enjoys walking, working on computers and cars, and spending time with his family.

Johnathan Hodges
Raised in Smithfield, North Carolina Johnathan Hodges was reared to develop and cherish a spiritual walk with God and a natural walk with the people he came in contact with. Johnathan was never taught to see color, ethnicity, or even disability; He only saw people and made a conscious decision to love them all equally. After encountering some obstacles as a “different” child, who would now be called a creative, Johnathan wanted to help other people like him to feel ok about being “different” and to express themselves freely. The first on his list was young children. His heart for people was enlarged when he later in life acquired opportunities in the education system as an educator/ Male Involvement administrator & Fatherhood Coordinator. From daycare to pre-k to elementary level, Johnathan dedicated plethora of amounts of his time to serving children and their families helping them to find healing from areas of their lives in which they were hindered. Johnathan is a certified Power Coach who loves assisting others in discovering their inner power to navigate through life. Taking them from where they are to where they want to be. Johnathan still resides in Smithfield where he is the caretaker of his Elderly Mother and brother who is annually winning against a condition called hydrocephalus. Johnathan is moreover a single adoptive father to five beautiful children (Zory, Marcus, Jahsian, Trever & Tae’lynn). He serves as a worship leader at his local assembly, podcast creator, Host, Personality, Vocal Coach, and entrepreneur.

Systems Engineer at the United States Department of Defense. Randy is adept at designing, upgrading, and maintaining systems. He is an active member of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity. Randy is an advocate for change.

Lara Medford
Solutions Architect for an IT consulting and education services company. Lara has a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from NC State University. Lara has experience working as a criminal law paralegal in Wake County, specifically with post-conviction appellate reviews. In her current role, she has worked on building training programs for US Veterans re-entering civilian life with a focus on obtaining skills to support a role in cloud architecting and engineering.

Raquel Walker
Independent criminal justice consultant, community supervision SME, and Core Correctional Practices trainer. She obtained a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Radford University and has over 24 years of experience in the criminal justice field. She recently joined the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), Law Enforcement Division-Standards and Policy Section as a Law Enforcement Decertification Specialist. She has previously worked with the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Development Services, the Office of the Executive Secretary, the Virginia Department of Corrections, and the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. The bulk of her career was in Probation and Parole as a Senior Probation Officer, leading re-entry efforts.

Zackery Davis
Real Estate Broker at Keller Williams Realty. Zack is a detail-oriented instructor with a passion for providing the underserved in our community the resources to increase financial literacy and promote entrepreneurship. Zack studied Business Communications at Abilene Christian University. A warrior for Christ, Zack has facilitated a Prison Ministry Program to bring the word to Wake County’s incarcerated.
